The 13th
This week was about as boring as last week.
More melting slowly, more snow, more melting. We lose a bit of the snow banks then it snows. It will melt and we do want, a slow melt so there is no flooding. The ice breaker machines are out doing their job of breaking up ice on the rivers and some lakes.
Since it is almost half way through the month I will update my finances. Saturday was an expensive one. I had a hunch, all fluids in my car had not been changed since new (oil changes not included). I had paid for the filters to be changed but the cabin air filter was never changed. The air filter had been changed but not the last time I paid for it. Total was $1399 for it all. My vehicle runs like new again.
Then I spent $75 to fill my tank. That should last me a month or two. My final purchase was groceries. I spent $140.69. All had money set aside for the items. My no spend days up till today are 11 days. Today I also paid the bills up to the end of the month. Happy to know all that is taken care of.
On the creative side I have continued knitting on the afghan. On the cooking I have made some big salads to go with what I have in the freezer. I may need some fruits and vegetables further on in the month.
All in all, life is good.
Jean
You are doing very well with the no spend days. I have only reached 9 no spend days, but hope to extend that as the month progresses.
ReplyDeleteGod bless.
That's doing well Jackie.
DeleteWell done with all the no spend days! 11 out of 13 is great! It sounds like all the spending had been planned with money allocated towards them, so it's all good. I need to take my car in for a service, too; I've been putting it off!
ReplyDeleteI had put it off on somethings also, but no more. I want this vehicle to last me for quite awhile.
