Today marks the end of another month and the beginning of a new age for my youngest grandchild who turned 13 today. The last teenager in the family. My finances are in the dump. With fixing my vehicle, spending way more on groceries, and various other expenses, I have decided to not buy groceries, unless it is fresh stuff I.e. carrots, beets, brussel sprouts, cucumber etc. I want to pay off my yearly car insurance in full, so I need to put $344 dollars away every pay for the next three pays. I also want to be out of the red in the next month. Things will be tight, but I can do it. Thankfully, it is only me. Another beautiful day. We hit 30C again and should hit the same the next few days. I have cleaned all, sans one, of the insides of the balcony windows. I also cleaned three of the apartment windows. This week is going to be beautiful all week, though yesterday we only made it to 19C, the rest if the week should be up around 26C. This meant I did long walks on Sunday and Monday. Yesterday I took the day off as the wind was blowing cold. Neither Oakley or I wanted to go out. Today we walked just not as far. I wanted to sit in the sun for a bit. We did that, but Oakley was in a mood today. Bichon Frize, certainly have a lot of emotions and today he showed them all. I bought him a ball pit. I can see we will be going through a large amount of balls. He loves it so far. I think I will replace the original balls with tennis balls. They last longer. At least I hope they do. Jean xxx

Now I am comfortably settled in to my seventies, I don’t see much difference from my sixties. Oh, there’s less work or more if you let the chores pile up lol. It’s more of an observation age. Watch the dogs, watch the people, watch the kids on scooters, watch the workmen on the streets. More time for traveling. Definitely more Dr. visits. This is my take on the seventies. J xxx
