Travelling Chairs
So my many belongings go from one child to another as the need arises. Most have kept articles they’ve borrowed. After my husband passed away, his recliner walked out for a number of years. It ended up in daughter’s garage. I got that back after I said, I would clean and fix it. Done deal, however, when it first walked out of my place, I bought one that suited me. It stayed for a bit then it too walked or rocked away. Yesterday I finally got it back. It’s in a well worn shape, but hey it still reclines. I cleaned it up this morning. I never saw so much animal hair in my life. But it works and will still work for the foreseeable future. I still haven’t got back a bed, night tables, kitchen items and I probably won’t. It’s okay I don’t mind helping my kids. Now if I could just figure out who has my down quilt.
My husband's. This one has prompted me to make Oakley's room into a library reading room.
This one is mine. For now it's in the living room.

Helping out our children is a joy, and eventually things come back to us.
ReplyDeleteGod bless.
They do come back.
DeleteMy husband used to say that’s how we got new stuff—by giving things to our kids! It was a joy to be able to help them when they were setting out.
ReplyDeleteLinda it is a joy to be able to help out.
DeleteI'm glad your furniture is making its way back to you. :)
